Assessment, Rescue, and Intake of Wild Songbirds

Rehabilitators encounter unique and challenging wildlife rescue scenarios. This class trains participants to assess wild songbirds, plan rescue attempts, and establish thorough patient intake protocols.  Topics discussed include common circumstances of admission, tools for evaluating wildlife concerns via phone or email, practical rescue, handling, and transport techniques, patient intake, information gathering, physical exam considerations, decision-making, and more.  (2H, 2C)
